BRC GS Packaging Materials

Working to BRC certification standards means complying with the strictest food safety regulations and specifications. This certification refers specifically to food-grade tin boxes and metal packaging manufactured in the Italtin plant facility, and guarantees the quality throughout the entire supply chain, starting from the raw material used to manufacture and customise the packaging through to the shaping of the finished product. It also certifies its compliance with food-grade “Secondary Packaging” requirements.

ECOVADIS

The concept of sustainability can be divided into three main aspects: economic, social and environmental. To certify the sustainability of its processes, Italtin commissioned EcoVadis, the international leader in corporate sustainability assessments, to conduct a sustainability analysis, to improve the performance of global logistics chains.

Ecovadis takes a snapshot of a company’s existing situation with regard to the environment, employment, human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement; it also analyses existing policies, actions and results, assigning a score, validating achievements and proposing improvement action to be put in place.

This third-party evaluation serves as a tool to protect the brand, promote transparency, innovation and boost corporate growth.
