Tinplate

The tinplate is a particularly ductile material, used to make metal containers. Also referred to simply as “tin”, the term tinplate usually consists of sheets of steel coated on both sides with a thin layer of tin to impede rusting. In order to be turned into a finished container, the tin plated strip must undergo various mechanical processes (lithography, cutting, pressing, welding and crimping) in order to obtain the desired size.
