Packaging

Packaging generally refers to the material used to wrap a product. Packaging refers to a set of characteristics (material, type, size, shape) that comprise the actual packaging of a product, regardless of the contents. The main function of packaging, although the final products is influenced by marketing, graphics and communication logics, is to contain and protect the product inside it. Different sectors require the use of specifically defined packaging. For instance, the food industry is regulated by the BRC Regulation concerning the production of secondary packaging, including our tin boxes.
